Crisscrossing America since 2000 in a quest to see all 50 states, 418 national parks, and more than 900 species of birds, Randi and Nic Minetor bring their expertise and their love of the wilderness, American history, and birding to readers who share their many passions.  

A working writer for more than 30 years, Randi is now the author of 60 books in print, including a number of ghostwriting projects for entrepreneurs and executives. When not in the field, Randi writes for trade magazines and journals in the fields of theatre technology, medicine, and municipal water.   

Nic Minetor’s photography appears in Backyard Birding, Hiking New York’s Lower Hudson Valley, Hiking Waterfalls in New York, Scenic Routes & Byways New York, Hiking Through History New York, in eight Quick Reference Guides to the birds, trees, and wildflowers of New York City, New York State, and the Mid-Atlantic Region, in ten books on national parks and historic cities, and on the covers of five Best Easy Day Hikes Guides to Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and the Hudson River Valley. A professional lighting designer with more than 40 years’ experience in opera, dance, theater, movies, television, museums and galleries, Nic is the resident lighting designer for Eastman Opera Theatre and Finger Lakes Opera, and he designs for theatre productions at Rochester Institute of Technology and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. He also served for 14 years as lighting director on the PBS national series “Second Opinion.”
